Call ahead or check in we found was 10-20 min wait. The entire bar area is seat yourself. We went twice it's that good! We sat belly up at a full bar, but it didn't take long for the our bartender (who was the best server we had our entire 10 day trip) to greet us! She was very friendly, easy to talk with & quick to take our order & serve our drinks/food. She was very knowledgeable with the menu & remembered our names when we talked! They do have a lunch buffet you can check out, but we weren't interested. I ordered fish tacos w quac, salsa & chips that I loved the flavors put together! We tried both margaritas looking out towards the ocean front, palm trees & surfers are a tough view to beat! Their Kimo Pie is delicious-almost every table ordered the ice cream, Oreo crust, hot fudge, macadamia nut, whip cream side dessert! WOW!!

I can not get enough of Dukes. I made sure to make reservations because otherwise you are looking at a very lengthy wait time, if at all. I was seated promptly at the time of my reservation. The staff was very polite. I had an amazing view right facing the ocean. Definitely gives the vibes you want from Hawaii. The food was very good and flavorful. They have many options for many different diets. Seafood, meats, drinks, etc. I got their lunch buffet, which was amazing. They even had a made-to-order poke bar. Their alcoholic beverages were delicious. Not too strong, but not all juice either. It had a good flavor. The only downfalls, I would say, are the wait times and the parking. It's hard enough to find parking in Waikiki that doesn't cost a fortune, let alone at dukes right in the center of it all. And again, reservations are slim. You have to plan ahead or risk waiting quite some time to get in. Otherwise, it's definitely worth a shot.

Good views if you can get the outside tables. Table seating is random even if you have a reservation, which I did. Food is okay, overpriced. The service is a bit slow as well. Water wasn't refilled until near the end of our meal. They have an all you can eat salad bar for an extra $9. There's also live music during certain hours. Hula pie is great! It's a huge amount of ice cream. Yum! They added a candle on top because we were celebrating a birthday, and the pie was complimentary! Because of the Hula Pie, Duke's is 4 stars. Otherwise, it would be 3.

We liked it so much we came back the next day! We were only able to get a reservation for 8:45pm, and frankly that was too late for dinner with the long day we had, and the early morning events that were scheduled. So we decided to try the Barefoot Bar area where seating is first come, first serve. This worked out great for us and we got a table quickly, with a great view of the ocean both days. My partner wanted fish tacos and come to find out, those were only available on the Barefoot Bar menu, so we lucked out. The next day we came back and they were offering a lunch buffet which she indulged on. This offered everything from poke bowls, to fresh fruit, to huli huli chicken, to coconut shrimp! It was a great way to sample all the flavors of the island. Also, I know when in Hawaii you should always indulge in fish, but I was feeling a grilled cheese and fries. And let me tell you, it was quite tasty. Sourdough bread, melty cheddar cheese, and seasoned fries hit the spot! The tropical smoothie was a refreshing blend of mango, banana, and vanilla that made me wanting to order another...so I did!

Located on the Waikiki Strip, live music was played on Saturday night, recommend making a reservation for a large party. My friends and I were a party of 6 and were seated soon after checking in for our reservation. Our server was great, made great recommendations and was attentive to our group! All of our food came out soon after we ordered, we all enjoyed our cocktails as well, mai tais! Ambiance is family friendly and lively! Menu offers a variety of seafood, meat and others, they offer specials too!

Good classic tourist restaurant in Waikiki. Expect it to be crowded / have to wait a few minutes to get seated unless you are solo! You can easily squeeze in at the bar then. Tell them you want a view when you're eating if you want a view otherwise they may place you in different dining area. The teriyaki sirloin I got was delicious it had pineapple on top and some mashed potatoes it was really good, the drinks are good and definitely get you drunk honestly I got 2 drinks and this steak for only $63 not bad for around here in my opinion. What really got my business here is while I was on the beach while renting a chaise lounge I got extremely parched and needed some water and couldn't leave my area I just paid to be at. The bartender a young man gave me a cold cup of water and told me to stay hydrated I really appreciated that - they could've said no! Super nice. Love this place !! Good place to people watch for sure.

As a certified big back, this place is amazing. The pancakes with coconut syrup was so good and then the french toast. I loved the views of the beach and customer service. Over all, pretty good spot.
